What I believe should be included in our own Declaration of Sentiments should be equal pay for both genders. I know this topic has been touched on here already and also many times in society, but I truly believe it’s pretty much bullshit. If there’s anything logical being argued at this time in society concerning gender inequalities, it is this issue for sure. Employers’ reasoning for wage gaps between male and female employees seems to make sense in their eyes, but comes off to the rest of us as a mere act of sexism. In my own philosophy, and I’m certain I’m not the only one with this one, I believe gender should not play a role whatsoever in the workplace. It’s crazy to even think that this is real, keeping in mind all of the very tiny, specific, and sometimes even ridiculous rules put forward in a professional environment. A person can’t attain a position at some job because they have tattoos, but a woman is given lesser pay at this job? There are a lot more comparisons that could be made here, but I’ll just leave it at that. To me, this is one of those things where when you hear it, it even sounds ridiculous.
