I certainly believe our society has come a long way with women’s rights. However, we still have a long way to go. What upsets me the most about our society is the fact that a government has the power to constitute what a woman can and can’t do with her own body, especially when it comes to issues like abortion. I will never understand how a government full of white men can strip down the rights of a woman’s own body.
Abortion should be the choice of the woman, not anyone else’s. She has every right to decide what is good for her. Furthermore, abortion clinics should be easily accessible to people in contrast to how they are today, with maybe one or two clinics in a state if you’re lucky. The procedure should also be covered by insurance and health care like Medicaid.
